I want make my first frosting from scratch. All the recipes I have found say butter, will margarine work just as well?
I uaually replace butter in my baking because I never seem to have it around and always have a tub of the other and I haven't had a problem, but since I have never made frosting I figured I should ask!
The recipe i'm looking at is from www.foodnetwork.com
- 3 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 to 2 tablespoons whipping cream
